Why We Exist
The Casino Review Industry Is A Scam
There. We said it.
Ninety percent of casino "review" sites are content farms that rank casinos by commission rate. The casino paying C$400 per signup gets #1. The one paying C$150 gets #8. Player experience? Irrelevant. Payout speed? Who cares. Whether the casino actually pays winners? Not factored in.
We know because we used to work at one of those sites. We quit in disgust.
The Breaking Point
Picture this: 2026, a casino client demands we remove a negative review. They're a top-5 revenue generator. The review accurately described their 3-week withdrawal delays and predatory bonus terms. Management's response? "Update the review to be more balanced."
That was the last straw. Two of us walked out that week. This site launched three months later.
Our Approach Is Simple (And Apparently Radical)
- We deposit real money. Not demo accounts. Not "test environments." Our actual Canadian dollars.
- We play like normal players. No VIP treatment. No account manager knowing we're reviewers.
- We withdraw. This is where most casinos reveal their true nature.
- We report what happened. Good or bad. No edits requested by operators.
Apparently, this makes us controversial.
What We've Lost By Being Honest
- C$40,000+ annually in affiliate deals we've rejected or been dropped from
- Three "cease and desist" letters from casinos unhappy with accurate reviews
- Partnerships with two major casino comparison networks
- Invitations to industry conferences (we're not welcome anymore)
What We've Gained
- The ability to sleep at night
- Readers who actually trust us
- A blacklist of casinos that have tried to bribe or threaten us (it's long)
The Team
Four people. Three in Canada, one expat in Portugal. Backgrounds in casino operations, investigative journalism, and financial compliance. We've seen how the sausage gets made. It's not pretty.
We don't take meetings with casino "partnership managers." We don't attend junkets. We don't accept "review bonuses" that magically appear in our test accounts. Our income comes from affiliate commissions on casinos we'd recommend regardless of commission—and there aren't that many.
Our Promise
We will never:
- Rank a casino higher because they pay more
- Remove accurate negative information under pressure
- Pretend a bad casino is good
- Hide our methodology
- Tell you gambling is a good idea
Speaking Of Which
Gambling is entertainment with negative expected value. The house always wins over time. If you're here looking for a way to make money, leave. If you're here to find a fair place to spend entertainment dollars you can afford to lose, we can help.
